Coming off a very successful trip to the Southeast Reptile Expo in Duluth Ga I have a chance for an update. Thanks again to Bob Vu and his staff for an awesome event and thanks to everyone that came out. Great time.
Coming home to more eggs and babies is always fun. One for Amy that's been a long while since my collection setback which also affected her projects, she had 2 litters of Blue puget sound gartersnakes (T.pickeringi). I really enjoy these animals because they have small litters and larger babies. These will not be available until the end of September. Other animals have been added to the "available page" check it out.
There's a lot of changes coming up here for ZRC this and next year. I'm both nervous and excited. I've been asked if we're getting out after 40 years? No, not yet, just some restructuring. I've seen some things within my collection the last few years, and I'm a FIRM believer in, if it anit broke, don't fix it. Some of my stuff is broke. There's a new cage design/system I'm very intrigued with and hope to take possession of my first ones in November. Am I moving away and finnally getting away from racks, No. Some of my animals won't allow that . Will it cause me to cut down the amount of animals I can keep, absolutely. This is why you're seeing so many adults available from our collection, also why you may seeing some equipment being offered. Will this be a quick change, no but a gradual one. So I'm really looking hard at my projects, numbers etc, like making cuts on a football team, some are gonna make it on the team, some are not. I'm also looking to add "New" projects and new challenges for me.
We're also getting ready for the upcoming Colubridfest in September. As soon as we seeing the schedules and speakers, we'll spread the word and hope you'll help us with that as well.
